This is a sample brief for Unit 1 Controlled Assessment which I created and have included sample answers covering ACs 1.1-1.4 which could be used for model answers for students or an assessment task. Opportunities to amend and to remove paragraphs so they can complete the answers themselves.

I have created two sample briefs which can be used to practice various ACs in the Unit 1 Controlled Assessment. The briefs cover the following crimes: white collar, technological and individual (domestic abuse and hate crimes). This is a useful “cheat sheet” for Unit 4 revision which covers every AC in Unit 4 with relevant case studies, important legislation and links to Unit 2 theories which are relevant to that AC and useful for exam answers. Can be used by the teacher as well to add more details during lessons then be given when it is time to revise or could be given at the start of Unit 4 and the students could research the cases prior to covering the next AC.

AC 1.1 Judicial process reading task of infamous cases which set a precedent and activity sheet of questions with further cases to do an independent/group research task about cases which set a precedent.

A blank template and three exemplars covering the police, the CPS and the judiciary for students to put together a revision sheet of each agency covering the key points of aims, objectives, philosophy, funding and working practices.

Three quizzes covering LO1 (ACs 1.1-1.3) for Unit 4 of Criminology, answers are included at the end of each quiz and can be cut and pasted into a separate document before giving to students. Could use these questions in Forms format by copying them in too.
